Results Day 2026

Oldham Sixth Form College is once again celebrating outstanding A Level and Vocational results and we are absolutely delighted for all our students and their exam results this summer. Their achievements represent such a significant milestone in their education with 67% of students achieving all A*/A or vocational equivalents. This summer’s results exceed the national pass rate and are once again some of the strongest achievements in the college’s history, reflecting the hard work and dedication of each of OSFC’s students.

As always we are delighted with the achievements of our students. We are proud to say that, in spite of COVID interruptions throughout the start of their secondary school experience in years 7 and 8, our students have done a fantastic job. I am immensely proud of the dedication of students and staff to give Oldham Sixth Form College such excellent results

The vast majority of A Level courses have again significantly surpassed the national pass rate (97.5%) and high grades achieved by students also continue to impress, with over 1700 high grades awarded this summer. Significantly, 30 courses secured high grades (A*-B or vocational equivalent) for the majority of their students and a quarter of all OSFC students applying to university will be progressing to highly competitive Russell Group Universities in September.

Amongst the many success stories we are celebrating today, Moses Kabwika achieving A*AA in Maths, Further Maths and Physics and Aisha Mahmood’s achieving of D*BC and progression to her first choice university and a Child Nursing degree, having studied Health and Social Care, Sociology and History. Both Aisha and Moses faced many significant challenges as young people, but have flourished whilst studying with us.

In addition, Francesca Lloyd has secured a place to study Veterinary Science at Cambridge University, while Ameera Aslam will be studying Medicine at Hull York Medical School, and Sarrinah Chaudhry will shortly commence her Dentistry degree at the University of Manchester. Furthermore, Ayesha Begom, Hafsa Begum and Megan Rainton all achieved 3 outstanding A* grades and will be studying Pharmacy (at Manchester), Law (Manchester) and Mathematics (Warwick), respectively. We wish them continued success!

The students at OSFC are ambitious and industrious. They have worked hard for their qualifications and I applaud their successes both now and in the future. I am particularly thrilled to hear that two of our students achieved the highest marks in the country, Hafsa Begum in A Level Law and Tyler Holland in A Level Photography, an amazing achievement. I wish all our OSFC’s students' well in their next steps towards university, employment, apprenticeships and training

Yet again we are celebrating 100% success rate for our T Level students, 7% higher than the national pass rate, with 96% achieving a distinction or merit which we expect to be significantly above the national result..

Students enjoyed celebrating their results with college staff on Results Day, and are looking forward to OSFC’s Celebration Evening event in September, when they are all given a big send off by the college staff and governors.
