Connected Campus Collaboration with Screen Manchester Launched at OSFC

Connected Campus represents an exciting collaboration between Screen Manchester and Oldham Sixth Form College. On Thursday 19th September, Screen Manchester visited to talk to students to launch this amazing opportunity. The year-long project will see students working on a live brief, set by Screen Manchester and the British Film Institute, to make a 6 minute fictional film that showcases three locations in and around Oldham. 

Students will be working with industry professionals including film and TV directors, studio and location managers and technicians, writers, designers and producers. Having storyboarded their film they will ‘pitch’ this to industry professionals before they get the ‘greenlight’ to start filming. 

Maria Beswick, Curriculum Area Leader for English, Media, Film and Modern Foreign Languages, who is coordinating the project at OSFC said:
